THE WATCH:
We do not know a lot about the brand Jivana, this small Swiss-French company has been funded in the 50s and produced a few fine timepieces over the decades.
What we’ve got here is a beautiful Swissmade self-winding diver watch from the 70s.
The robust 40mm steel case coupled with incabloc system allows 300m waterproofness.
Gorgeous black & blue rotative bezel and screwed crown. Dial has a nice vintage patina and we instantly loved the weirdly shaped hands and indexes.
Case back writings sum up pretty much all the watch’s specificities:
- Sous Marine 300 metres
- NO+4 952/65
- ID 14538
- Swiss case
- Stainless steel
- Incabloc
- Automatic
Self-winding movement is fully functional and the day-date indication is not only useful but elegantly displayed at 3 o’clock.
Finally, as we like to be precise and consisted at Toolwatch, we have paired the watch with a brand new rubber Tropic look alike strap in order to give to the ticking beauty a full badass diving look.
Well this is the perfect watch to acquire for any curious wrist who would like to start collecting vintage timepieces. Indeed, for a few hundred bucks you can get a very nicely designed Swiss made diver!
